EU OSS & IOSS VAT summaries

The OSS report your accountant files in five minutes.

Vatlio pulls your orders from every channel, converts them with the official ECB period-end rate, validates VAT rates against the EU's TEDB database, and produces the quarterly country-by-country OSS summary — ready for your accountant.

Not tax advice. Vatlio prepares OSS/IOSS return summaries from your sales data. It does not file returns with any tax authority and does not provide tax advice — your accountant stays in control of the filing.

Three steps

From messy orders to a filed return

OSS compliance is a data problem, not a tax problem. Vatlio solves the data part.

1. Connect your channels

Link Shopify, Etsy, eBay or WooCommerce — or upload a CSV. Vatlio merges every channel into one clean transaction list.

2. We do the hard math

Non-EUR sales are converted with the official ECB period-end rate. Every VAT rate is validated against the EU's official TEDB database.

3. Hand it to your accountant

Get the quarterly Union OSS (or monthly IOSS) country-by-country summary in the official Annex III structure — plus a German "Mein BOP" upload CSV.

Built for the boring parts

Everything OSS needs, nothing it doesn't

No dashboards for the sake of dashboards — just the artefacts your quarterly filing actually requires.

Multi-channel merge

Shopify, Etsy, eBay, WooCommerce and CSV imports combined into a single deduplicated transaction ledger per quarter.

Official ECB conversion

Non-EUR sales are converted with the European Central Bank's period-end rate — the rate the OSS rules actually require.

TEDB-validated VAT rates

Every country/rate combination is checked against the EU's official Taxes in Europe database, so outdated rates get flagged before they reach a return.

Annex III structure

Country-by-country summaries in the official Union OSS / IOSS return structure, plus a "Mein BOP" CSV for the German portal and an accountant-ready CSV.

€10,000 threshold watch

Vatlio monitors the EU distance-selling threshold and warns you before crossing it changes where your VAT is due.

10-year audit trail

Transaction records kept audit-ready for ten years, in line with Article 63c record-keeping obligations. Multi-store included.

Why Vatlio

Built for the sellers the big tools left behind.

When Taxdoo exited the small-seller market, thousands of EU shops were left choosing between €49+/month suites and error-prone spreadsheets. Vatlio is the middle path: the report, done right, at a price a small shop can justify.

FAQ

Honest answers

No — and that's deliberate. Vatlio prepares the summary; you or your accountant submit it through your national OSS portal. That keeps us out of any licensing gray zone and keeps your accountant in control of the actual filing.
All 27 EU member states, for both the quarterly Union OSS scheme and the monthly IOSS scheme.
Exactly the way the OSS rules require: non-EUR sales are converted using the European Central Bank's exchange rate published on the last day of the reporting period.
In the EU. Vatlio is operated by Talivio Technology OÜ, an Estonian company, and your transaction data is processed and stored on EU infrastructure. We never sell your data.
No. Vatlio is reporting software. It prepares return summaries from your sales data and flags anomalies, but it does not provide tax advice or registration services. When in doubt, ask your accountant.
